DESCRIPTION:Speaker: Rob Murray ACII\, Partner\, Lane Clark & Peacock \nIn this IIL revision lecture Rob Murray ACII will outline with practical examples\, a number of different memory techniques to assist students when preparing for exams or wider business or personal situations. \nRob will explaine that learning and retaining large amounts of information does not require natural ability and that the techniques covered can make a significant difference. In his presentation Rob will make it clear that the techniques require practice\, preparation and adaptation\, as essentially these techniques concentrate on an individual identifying for themselves which memory principles work best for them\, and then building a pattern of studying around that. \nBy the end of this lecture members would have gained an insight into: \n-An introduction to a number of memory principles and accelerated learning techniques\n-Practical illustrations of these techniques drawing on material from the CII examinations\n-An introduction to effective\, yet non-standard\, approaches to memory and learning\, which can be applied to formal\, informal study or wider business\, personal situations \nSpeakers Bio:\nRob Murray is a Partner in LCP’s Insurance Consulting practice providing actuarial advice for a range of insurance operations on matters including reserving and capital modeling.
