DESCRIPTION:The 2020 WSIA Underwriting Summit will be March 1-4 at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa in Palm Desert\, CA. The Underwriting Summit offers: \n • Networking for the underwriting\, delegated authority\, program specialist and professional and financial lines segments of the WSIA membership\n • An opportunity for the leadership of all member firms to collaborate on strategic issues facing the marketplace\n • A more relaxed\, intimate environment\, with an estimated 1\,400 attendees\, in contrast with the much larger and faster-paced Annual Marketplace \nThe event will begin on Sunday with the Opening Reception and dedicate time through the week for networking and business meetings in the Brokers’ Lounge and Club. On Monday\, guests should plan to attend the association’s Opening Breakfast and Annual Business Meeting where WSIA members will elect new officers and directors\, recognize recipients of the association’s leadership and service awards and hear from keynote speaker\, Gen. Colin L. Powell\, USA (Ret.). \nLloyd’s team will give a market update at the WSIA Underwriting Summit in Palm Desert. Hank Watkins\, Regional Director and President\, Americas and Paul Brady\, Head of Policyholder & Third Party Oversight will discuss delegated authorities and the Future at Lloyd’s.
